Our Baby's Nursery

Ruben and I have been working on our Baby Girl's Nursery for the past couple of months and it is finally completed! Ruben added crown molding to the ceilings, painted the walls pink and the trim white. I made the bumper pad, valence, and my Mom helped me make the dust ruffle for the crib. Ruben assembled all of the furniture, including the baby's crib, changing table, armoire, dresser, and glider. Ruben has been one busy Daddy!

Our "Baby Moon" in Shell Beach

Ruben and I took a relaxing trip to Shell Beach for the weekend of May 11, 2007 for our “Baby Moon,” which is a last get-away before our Baby Girl arrives. We stayed at the Cliffs Resort and enjoyed beach walks, sunsets, sleeping in, and laying by the pool. We had a wonderful time together. Ruben’s brother Santos came down from Templeton with his son Vincent to join us at the pool on Saturday. We had a wonderful day of sunshine and swimming. We also went to Ruben’s parents house for a fantastic Mother’s Day feast and visited with Ruben’s Mom & Dad, Grandma and her husband Martin, Santos & Vincent. We had a wonderful day with his family.

Dana's Zertuche Family Baby Shower

Ruben's Aunt Beverly hosted a family Baby Shower for Dana on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at her beautiful home in Chino, CA. It was a wonderful time spent with Ruben's Mom, Aunts, Cousins, and other relatives. Ruben's Aunt Fila made two beautiful cakes and some amazingly delicious tamales! It was a beautiful lunch and everything was decorated in pink!

Dana's Santa Barbara Baby Showers

Dana was blessed with three Baby Showers in Santa Barbara!!! One was held on April 14th, 2007, and was hosted by Brianna Hammond, Karen Chaw, and Amy Voss at Fresco At The Beach. A full on Surprise Baby Shower was held on May 3rd, 2007, at Dana's work, coordinated by Dana's close friend Maureen Spencer. A third Baby Shower was hosted by Julie Russell and Gail Gray at Gail's home in Santa Barbara on May 5th, 2007. All three showers were completely amazing a beautiful!

Dana's Baby Shower in San Diego was on Saturday, April 28th, 2007, and was hosted by Gail Sheafer and Judy Sharp. Dana's brother Carson came in from Denver, Colorado and Dana's friend Hillary came in from Eugene, Oregon. It was a wonderful day filled with family, friends, and many blessings.
